Editing & Formatting Policies

Free sample edit (up to 1,500 words) available upon request — not applicable to critiques.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking; the remainder is due upon completion.

A signed contract and deposit are required to confirm the booking.

All invoices are issued through a secure third-party invoicing service (such as Fakturoid). Contracts are signed electronically.

Rush requests may incur additional fees depending on the schedule.

If the word count increases by more than 5,000 words after booking, additional time may be required.

Word-count reductions lower the final invoice proportionally.

Standard turnaround: 20 business days per 80 K words; extended for holidays.

Minimum charge: $100 per project.

Files submitted as Word (.docx) or Google Docs, double-spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman.

Style references: CMOS 18th ed. and Merriam-Webster.

Returning clients receive 20 % off full-length novel edits (50 K + words).

Upon placing an order, you confirm that you own or control the rights to the text and grant permission to edit.

Confidentiality acknowledgment – I keep your files private and don’t share samples without written consent.

Credit: optional; you may credit me as editor/beta reader if you wish.

Retention of Files: I will retain all related files for the duration of this job plus 90 days after in case of further revisions.
